The town of Peterborough, NH is looking for a motivated planning professional with a passion for renewable energy and community development to join us in shaping a sustainable future for Peterborough. Together, we'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact and strive towards creating a community that takes measures to conserve our natural resources and promote economic resiliency.

Under the direction of the Director of Planning & Building, the Community Planner will play a crucial role in guiding and facilitating the implementation of our recently adopted Peterborough Renewable Energy Plan while managing community and economic development initiatives.

The Planner will put keen research skills to use identifying and fulfilling grant writing opportunities to secure additional resources. As the point-person for residents and businesses, the Community Planner will provide guidance on energy efficiency programs, funding sources, and other initiatives. The Planner's expertise will drive the development and implementation of community and economic development programs that foster sustainable growth.

Coordinating public outreach activities will be essential to engage residents and businesses in our community. As part of our dynamic team, the Community Planner will provide staff support to various boards, committees, and subcommittees. The Planner will collaborate with the PREP Team and other energy-related Town Committees, contributing to energy research and updates to master plans. Peterborough offers more than just a job; it provides a vibrant community with a rich cultural heritage.
